The Real Story about Financial Forecasting
If you'd rather listen, click here.
I've been quiet for a while now. You might not even remember who I am!?!? You probably signed up for one of the freebies I created for you about bookkeeping, pricing, or how to create a solid Finance Friday routine.
I've had a burning desire to support entrepreneurs in getting on top of their business finances and teaching them how to use their financial data for years! One might say I have been obsessed with the topic.
I put some things together and started to share about it, but life got in the way. Has that ever happened to you?
I recently met with a woman who was years behind on her bookkeeping and had quite a financial mess to clean up. This happens when there is a major change in life, like divorce or the death of a loved one.
Something like that happened to me, and I could only focus on my one-on-one clients.
I had to put teaching on hold!
Needless to say, I am excited to be communicating with you now! I'm thrilled to invite you into a safe, judgment-free zone where we can talk about the messes that happen and build ourselves up through the process of cleaning them up. Louise Hay says, "we need to build ourselves up instead of beating ourselves up," which we do at Love Your Numbers Now.
Even though I have been quiet, exciting things have happened over here.
My clients, entrepreneurs like you, have shown up month after month to look at their numbers and create their financial futures. It's been a miracle to witness! I am amazed they keep showing up. I mean, NO ONE ever cancels!
So many heart-centered entrepreneurs tell me they don't want to look at their numbers and feel great anxiety when looking at them. So, why do they keep showing up?
They show up because it feels good to be in control. Looking at your numbers helps the anxiety decrease.
You might think it would cause more anxiety, especially if you haven't looked at them in a while, but the stress doesn't come from looking at your numbers. It comes from not knowing what's going on.
Your numbers exist whether you look at them or not.
So, at Love Your Numbers Now, my clients and I take a peek and see what's coming. We are very good at predicting what will happen over the next 90 days! And you can be too.
When you look at your numbers each month and look forward over the next 90-days, you can see what's coming, and have an opportunity to effect change. You will know what is needed to make your business profitable and ensure you don't run out of cash.
This magical process is called financial forecasting.
Don't get me wrong, it's a real tool, and there is a spreadsheet involved! But, it's a spiritual spreadsheet, a foundational support for your business. We use it to create a clear intention of what we want, and by living into the possibility of creating the profits we desire and enough cash to cover our needs, we draw that result to us.
How do we draw the results to us?
Our minds, subconscious and conscious, love to solve our problems. We can leave them swimming in confusion or give them a clear directive such as, "$10,000 is needed to make all the numbers work."
We feel the possibility and gratitude of it happening in advance of the event.
Support comes in many forms, like ideas, inspiration, and motivation.
I call it magical because I often get a text after a forecasting session that something happened that brings them closer to their goal.
Things don't always go exactly as planned but putting your attention on your numbers increases profits. It's a fact. I see it happening over and over again.
Are you interested in working with money differently that feels authentic to you and your purpose in the world and is not about creating a whatever-figure month or year?
If you are, I'm glad to keep sharing what has worked for my clients who have created successful businesses that support them, their families, their customers, and their companies and positively contribute to the world.
I'm glad to be connected with you and continue this conversation.
Love, Carol
P.S. I talked with someone last week who suggested I develop a different way to say financial forecasting because it's intimidating to use financial words.
At Love Your Numbers Now, we believe that everyone is capable of learning financial concepts and using them to their advantage.
I intentionally use accounting words so we can get familiar with them. It's like when you put broccoli on the table in front of a child. Over time, it begins to feel like a friend.
How do the words Financial Forecasting make you feel? Please email me and let me know.
I'd love to hear what you think.
