Mastering Manifestation: From Tax Planning to Kayaks - Learn the Powerful Technique Behind It All

Hello, Readers

Manifestation has gotten a bad rap.

So much so that I try not to even use the word. Especially as a licensed CPA. I don’t want to be known as the woo accountant who endorses magical thinking to bypass business principles and effort because I believe in those too. Very much. And there is an unseen world available to us. We are swimming in connected energy fields. We are connected to the earth, each other, and the quantum field.

In her book, When Women Were Birds, Terry Tempest Williams wrote:

“Four gases create the air: nitrogen (78.09 percent), oxygen (20.95 percent), argon (0.93 percent), and carbon dioxide (0.039 percent).

Water vapor (2 percent) is also found in the atmosphere.

This gave me confidence.

The unseen world is real.”

I won’t teach the science here because Dr. Joe Dispenza and others can do it much better than I can. Instead, I will share my story in hopes that it inspires you. What I am doing is working for me and can work for you too.

I just returned from a week-long advanced retreat with Dr. Joe Dispenza, where he taught us how to use our bodies as instruments to access the quantum field, an invisible field of energy and information that is available to us.

He teaches that we can set a clear intention of what we want, expand our awareness, change our brainwaves, activate and increase our magnetic fields, and open our hearts by feeling the emotions of what we want to have happen. The thought of what we want is the electric charge that goes out into the field, and feeling the elevated emotions of having it in our heart is the magnetic charge that draws the event to us.

I have been practicing this technique, which has become my way of life. It is not magical thinking. It works. There is a way to do it, and I want to be a living example for you and tell you how I work with these concepts in my life because it is so fun and effective.

So let me tell you a story about how I drew two kayaks into my life with minimal physical effort. I used my heart and mind. I didn't get the kayaks for free. I purchased them. What I manifested was the outcome I envisioned.

A little aside: It’s taken me a while to feel safe enough to share this story with you. As I contemplated sharing the story, I felt a hesitation in my chest, and a voice in my head said, you think you're so smart, and a fear that I might be bragging was present. These are internalized messages from my youth that it’s not safe to share your excitement; it’s not safe to feel smart or to be seen as smart. Doing well is not okay, and it's better to have some problems to fit in with others. This is the programming that I am overcoming as I share more of my life with you.

The truth is, I am amazed and excited by life and want to share it!

This story starts with tax and retirement planning.

As part of my tax saving and retirement plan, I got interested in real estate investing because it accomplishes two goals. To save on business taxes and acquire performing assets that generate monthly cash flow in retirement. And as a bonus, I love the idea of building a real estate portfolio I can leave to my children.

This started me on a journey of purchasing three properties in five years.

The most recent property I purchased is a three-season camp on a lake. I love being on the water and envisioned having two kayaks there.

I started acting as if by signing up for two kayak racks at the boat launch. I decided that I would have two kayaks. I just didn’t know how I would get them.

Having this desire and not knowing how it would happen, my mind wanted to solve this problem. So whenever I thought of it, my mind would go on a little trip that looked like this:

I would think of going to the local kayak store and having them help me decide what to get. I wanted something quality and didn’t know much about kayaks. I also didn’t know how I would get them to the lake. This is where I got tripped up in my mind because none of this sounded fun or easy to me.

This mental exercise happened repeatedly, and it always stopped at this same point of no resolution and felt like a dead end.

And in that moment of not being able to figure it out, Instead of worrying about how it would happen, I used this point as a cue to shift to imaging the kayaks being enjoyed with friends and family. I let it go knowing that two kayaks would fill the racks I reserved for them at some point.

Another part of the story is that I will rent out my house when I go to the lake. I was nervous to tell my neighbors because sometimes people don't like short-term rentals in their neighborhood. I get it.

I was working in my front yard, and my neighbor came to talk to me. Now, she is very talkative, and as I listened to her, I heard in my head, tell her you're renting the house. I kept hearing those words as she talked. Tell her you're renting the house. Tell her you're renting the house. Okay!! I’ll do it. Although I have always heard Spirit in my ear narrating letters and having entire conversations in my head, this was different. The voice had never been so insistent.

So I told her, “Hey, I wanted to tell you something. You know I bought this place at the lake. Well, I'm going to spend the summer there and rent my house out a little bit.” She reacted very positively. And then she said, “Do you want to buy some kayaks?” And I said, “Yes. Yes, I do.” I felt the magic in this moment and knew I had created it.

So we walked across the street into her garage. She and her husband showed me these beautiful kayaks. They told me they've been kayaking for 40 years; they did a lot of research. They picked these kayaks because they are easily maneuverable and light at twelve pounds each.

They were just what I wanted. And then I asked, “How will I get them to the lake?” And they said, “We'll deliver them to you.” And the deal was made. My neighbor's husband was so excited he couldn't contain his joy. He began dancing around his driveway and sang me a song.

When you align your life to your heart’s desires and start allowing yourself to want what you want, you get in flow, and everyone around you benefits.

Let’s recap what I did to draw these kayaks to me:

  • I was clear about what I wanted.

  • I decided it would happen somehow.

  • When I thought of the problem, I used that as a cue to think of the result I wanted instead of staying in the problem.

  • I imagined the result I wanted every time I thought of it.

  • I felt how good it would feel when it happened in my heart.

  • I felt gratitude for the result I wanted before it happened, as if it had already happened.

  • I stayed open, looking for ideas, circumstances, helpful people, and situations.

  • I took inspired action.

  • I was in my front yard. She came to me. And the thing that is also amazing to me about this story is that they had just listed the kayaks for sale, so if Spirit hadn’t insisted that I tell her about renting the house, this would never have happened.

And we can use this technique for manifesting in business as well as in our personal lives. Financial Forecasting is the perfect tool to help you with the first step of this process, which is getting clear about what you want in business so you can call it in more easily. You knew I was going to bring up Financial Forecasting at some point, right? Just like I knew what I wanted in the kayak situation, a Financial Forecast helps you get clear about what you want and need in business, and it might not be clear until you look at the numbers. So, keep an eye out for next week’s email if you want to know more about how Financial Forecasting can help you create the profits you desire in business.

Love,

Carol
